Besides Diana, his loving wife of forty one years, he is survived by their children Jamie Geremia (Stephen Magson) of Lethbridge, Ryan (Denise) Geremia of Strathmore and Karrie (Greg) Neilson of Lethbridge; grandchildren Veronica, Joey, Stephen Jr., Aryn, Lucas, William and Madelaine. He is also survived by his sisters Donna (Jerry) Ellerman, Carol (Gordon) Egeland and Susan (Bob) Stauth; mother-in-law Verna Wiest; sister-in-law Eileen (Barry) Leith; brother-in-law Ted (Cindy) Wiest and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Peter Geremia in 1981, mother Minnie (Veronica) Geremia (nee Toker) in 2002 and father-in-law David Wiest in 1997.

Butch was born on July 27, 1952 in Taber and raised on the family farm in Retlaw where he resided until his passing.

Butch met the love of his life Diana Wiest in March of 1969 and they were married in 1974. He attended college in Lethbridge, taking mechanics and then worked for Gemland Motors in Vauxhall for six years. When his father Peter passed away, he proudly took over the family farm as a third generation farmer.

Butch's passions included farming, raising cattle, fixing up vehicles and creating inventions to make his life on the farm easier. He loved hunting, curling, camping and fishing but most of all his family and grandchildren. Butch was a proud father and grandfather who will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends.
