Cornelius Buhler Friesen, beloved companion of Arlene Sakebow, passed away unexpectedly near Taber on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 39 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family during a two night wake held at the Youth Centre, 7211 - 50 Street, Taber starting Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. and concluding on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 8:30 A.M.

The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 5001 - 64 Avenue, Taber on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Besides Arlene, Neil is survived by his son Andrew Friesen, adopted son Harvey Chamakese and step children Justine Sakebow, Janine Sakebow and Justin Jimmy. He is also survived by father Cornelius Friesen of Taber and his mother Elisabeth Friesen of Lethbridge; his siblings Tina (Wilhelm) Rempel of Seminole, Texas, Maria (Herman) Friesen of Kambirdge, Ontario, Abe (Anna) Friesen of Vauxhall, Sara (John) Rempel of Seminole, Texas, Isaac (Elisabeth) Friesen of Seminole, Texas, Elisabeth (Jake) Hiebert of Seminole, Texas, Anna (Wayne) Friesen of Vauxhall, George (Mary) Friesen of Taber, Margaret (Ike) Riemer of Winkler, Manitoba, John Friesen of Creston, British Columbia, Eve (Abe) Klassen of Taber, Justina (Jake) Elias of Coaldale, Susie (Beau) Harden of Lethbridge and by numerous nieces and nephews.
