1935 - 2017

Jeannie Pauline Morrison, beloved wife of the late Donald Morrison, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the age of 81 years. 

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, March 26, 2017 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Jean is the cherished mother of Cam (Sharon) Morrison of Calgary, Vince Morrison of Lethbridge, Cathy (Mike) Wilson of Lethbridge, Carm (Kevin) O’Grady of Taber, Pat Beamish of Saskatoon, Shelly (Rob) Perna of Calgary and Moira McKay of Abbotsford. Beloved grandmother of Bonnie (Rob) Stone of Calgary, Jamie (Rob) Adams of Regina, Cheryl (Justin) Denis of Calgary, Neill (Lindsey) O’Grady of Taber, Chris (Becky) Clearihue of Calgary, Sarah (Sean) Morrison of Lethbridge, Nicci (Josh) O’Grady of Taber, James McKay of Prince George, Colten Primeau of Saskatoon, and Zachary Giesbrecht of Saskatoon as well as sixteen great grandchildren. Also left to mourn her passing are her sisters Marjorie Brooker and Shirley (Bill) Jackson as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband Donald Morrison (1997), her infant son Michael, parents Archibald and Faye McLeod, three sisters, three brothers and son in-law Wally Giesbrecht. 

Jean spent the majority of her working years in banking. In retirement she volunteered for many organizations including the Taber Legion for many years. She was an avid bowler and loved to nurture her garden and flowers. Jean loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.  She looked forward to having them all together at her family reunion each summer. Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
