JESSIE ZILINSKI
1917 - 2007


Jessie T. Zilinski, beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Zilinski Sr., passed away in Stettler on Sunday, December 23, 2007 just two days shy of her ninetieth birthday.
She is survived  by her daughters Lil Sommer of Ponoka and her children Sherri (Leo) Candelerio, Kristi (Mark) Hinkley and Leann (Scott) Souter; Josie (Brooke) Johnson of Ross Haven, Alberta and their daughters Lana (Dave) Ventnor, Andria (Clint) Morlock and Tricia (Jeremy) Nichols; her son Tony (Diane) Zilinski of Taber and their sons Eric and Brandon; thirteen great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Tony Sr.; granddaughter Julie Zilinski; son-in-law Knud Sommer; her parents and all her siblings.
Jessie was born in Widnes, Cheshire, England on December 25, 1917.  She was a twin sister to John.  She always said she should have been a boy, she was a tom-boy and her twin brother was a perfect gentleman.  At the time of her passing she was living in Stettler as it was closer to her daughters and great grandchildren which she was blessed with thirteen of them. She had many friends and was always willing to help someone.  Whether they needed a ride, money or food she always shared.  Jessie suffered the last few years of her life with alzheimer's which took away her dignity and independence but she still had her sense of humour.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 28 at 11:00 A.M with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. Burial to follow in Taber Memorial Gardens.

AMY ZHOU
1941 - 2007


Cai Jiao Zhou of Taber, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the age of 66 years.
Amy is survived by her children Mandy Huang (Chuck Frelich) of Taber, Yuyu Huang of China and Yuxun (Jean Li) Huang of China; granddaughter Kelsey Frelich; sister Cai Ying Zhou of Calgary and numerous other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband Huan Zuo; parents Bing bai Zhou and Li Ju Guan.
Amy was born January 6, 1941 in Kai Ping, Guang Dong, China and was raised and educated in China.  She immigrated to Canada in August of 2000 and settled in Taber where she has resided until her passing.  Amy has worked at Lamb Weston for the last seven years.  She enjoyed swimming, gardening, sewing, knitting, music, travelling and visiting with friends.  Amy will be remembered for being kind, caring and hard working. She was a loving mother who was always thinking of her children.  Amy will be lovingly remembered by all that knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006- 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 1, 2007 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Southland Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Gartly of the Evangelical Free Church officiating.  Private family burial to take place at the Taber Memorial Garden.

MARY ZSEDNAI
1921 - 2007


Mary Elizabeth Zsednai, beloved wife of the late Joseph Zsednai, passed away in her sleep, at the Lethbridge Extendicare  on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the age of 86 years.
Mary will always be loved and remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all of them were very special to her: Lucille (Gary) Weinman and their children Karl (Joan) (son Travis) and Heidi (Scott) (children Hannah and Matthew); Jim Zsednai; Steven (Marge) Dorner and their children Corbie (Andrea) (son Gabriel) and Joshawa (Rebecca) (children Sophie and Alise); Fred (Lorna) Dorner; Albert (Toni) Dorner and their children Blake, Callie and Amy (Matt) (children Carter and Katharine); Allen (Suzanne) Dorner and their children Jennifer, Alexandria and Angie (children Jordan and Bailey); Joey (Roberta) Dorner and their son Jodin (Michelle) (daughter Kiera); Cathy (Mike) Zaiser-Ross and their children Bradley (Lacey), Mitchell (Amanda), Randy (Nicole), Colin and Danielle (Wade) (son Kade); John (Helena) Zsednai and their children Caleb and Rebecca (Jeremy) (son Blake); Margie (Roy) Brewin and their children Dalyce, Tami-Jo, Dustin and Joey (Ellie) (children Jessica, Taylor and Ethan); Georgia (Ron) Smith. She is also survived by her sisters Margaret, Elizabeth, Catherine, Teresa and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Margaret Buettner and her brothers Joseph, Paul, Frank, George, William and Anton.
Mary was well known as a cook in Taber’s old time cafes including Rex, Petries Pantry and The Shanghi. She was a gardener, a great “home cook” and a generous friend to anyone needing a big hug or a warm meal. Her door was always open and her table was always set. She had a great sense of humour and loved to use the “full range” of the English language. Mary loved cards, bingo and any other game of chance. She was a proud lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a faithful supporter of the Catholic Women’s League. Mary will be missed by all who knew her.

RIA ZEINSTRA
1948 - 2006


Ria Zeinstra, beloved wife of Jerry Zeinstra of Taber, passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Taber Hospital on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the age of 57 years.
Ria was born on November 25, 1948 in The Netherlands. She married Jerry Zeinstra on August 27, 1971. Ria quietly, actively, and independently was always a huge support to Jerry in his farming and had a huge influence in her children's lives. She loved her children more than anything and was always there for them. She loved planning family trips and then making trips to Calgary to visit her daughters. Through Ria's passion for gardening and sewing, she always ensured her family had a healthy lifestyle and made sure her children were well dressed. Ria loved music and dancing and had a great sense of style and beauty both personally and in her home. She developed a love and passion for antiques and antique auctions. Ria loved her family and was the driving force.  "Mom, you will always be with us and you will live on through us with the strengths you have given us."

Besides her loving husband Jerry, Ria is survived by her mother Geertje Kooistra of The Netherlands; her children Gea Zeinstra (Russ), Lydia Zeinstra (Corwin) and Kirsten (Marko) Maksymytz all of Calgary and Renko Zeinstra of Taber; brothers Wiebe Kooistra and Pieter Jan (Willy) Kooistra and sister Akke (Joop) Rombout all of The Netherlands; her father-in-law Sebastianus Zeinstra; brothers and sisters-in-law Truus (Jack) Peters, Dini (Reimer) Rauwerda, Betty Zeinstra and Annie Zeinstra all of The Netherlands and John (Celeste) Zeinstra and Morris (Jackie) Zeinstra of Picture Butte and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ria was predeceased by her father Pieter Kooistra, her mother-in-law Elisabeth Zeinstra and brother-in-law Mebius Zeinstra all of The Netherlands.

JULIE ZILINSKI
1979 - 2004


Julie Erin Zilinski, beloved daughter of Tony & Diane Zilinski  and loving companion of Shane Hall all of Taber, passed away near Lethbridge on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the age of 25 years.  
Julie was born on August 18, 1979 in Lethbridge, Alberta to parents Tony and Diane Zilinski. Julie was currently employed with Shane's family at TWH Oil Field Service. She was outgoing, loved the outdoors, sports, four by fouring and possessed a real zest for life. Julie had a special relationship with children, they all loved her and were attracted to her like a magnet.  She will be always loved and fondly remembered by all that knew her.  
Besides her loving parents Tony and Diane Zilinski and her companion Shane Hall, she is survived by her brothers Eric and Brandon; grandparents Sherwin and Barbara Nalder and Jessie Zilinski; Shane's daughter Jaidee along with his parents Tim and Shelly Hall and his brother Bob (Tara) and their children Max and Brandon.  She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie was predeceased by her grandfather Tony Zilinski Sr.  
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family and pay their respects at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and also at the Relief Society Room of the Church prior to the service from 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.  
The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709-50 Ave., on Friday, November 12 at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Frank Walton conducting.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.

MARGARETHA ZACHARIAS

Mrs. Margaretha Zacharias, beloved wife of the late Mr. Jacob Zacharias of Coaldale, passed away in Coaldale on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at the age of 73 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Old Colony Mennonite Church (4 miles north of Vauxhall) on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
