BUD CHRISTENSEN

1937 - 1998

Ernest Christensen, beloved husband of Marjorie Christensen of Taber, passed away in Taber on Friday, February 13, 1998 at the age of 60 years.
Bud was born September 3, 1937 at Lethbridge and was the son of Alfred and Inzie Christensen. He received his schooling at Wrentham. Bud worked in Milk River later moving to Taber. He moved to Fernie where he resided, later returning to Taber. Bud worked with Triwell Oilfield Construction since 1978. He married Marjorie Archer on April 3, 1981 and since 1982 they lived on the Christensen family farm near Wrentham.
Besides his loving wife Marjorie, Bud is survived by his daughter Penny (Laurie) Godwin and their son Dalton of Sparwood, British Columbia; his son Kevin (Donna) Christensen and their son Danny of Taber; three sisters Norma Selk of Milk River, Barbara Adams of Cranbrook, British Columbia and Sylvia (Sheldon) Rogers of Barnwell; three brothers Rex (Ann) Christensen, Marvin (Louise) Christensen and Ron Christensen all of Taber; his stepchildren Irma (Pete) Shirdon of South New Berlin, New York, Burt (Carol) Archer of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Wayne (Leah) Archer of Sidney, New York and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers George, Leo, Lloyd, Bill and Donald; and sisters Verna Christensen and Zada Still.
Relatives and friends met with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, February 16 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and also in the Relief Society Room of the Taber LDS Stake Centre on Tuesday, February 17, 1998 from 12:45 P.M. to 1:15 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Taber LDS Stake Centre on Tuesday, February 17, 1998 at 1:30 P.M. with Bishop Jerry Haslam conducting. Interment followed at the Stirling Cemetery.
