LILA PEMBERTON

1925 - 2001

Lila Grace Pemberton passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2001 at the age of 75 years.
Lila was born to Victor and Velma Camp on December 28, 1925 in Midwest, Wyoming, the oldest of three children. The family moved to Dillon, Montana where Lila graduated from High School. She then attended College in Dillon as well as Missoula, Montana.
On January 11, 1944 Lila married Jack Sinclair and he passed away in 1956. Lila continued to pursue her teaching career and in 1960 married William Pemberton.
In 1967 Lila accepted a position at St. Mary’s High School in Taber as an English teacher, with a passion for speech and debate, as well as drama.
Lila taught and inspired many until 1979 when she became ill.
Lila is survived by daughters Marla Tamtom and son-in-law Steve of Taber and Janis Milder and son-in-law Leonard of Great Falls, Montana; sons Rod Sinclair of Billings, Montana, Michael Sinclair and daughter-in-law Janet of Las Vegas, Nevada, William Sinclair and daughter-in-law Liz of Pincher Creek, Alberta and James Sinclair of Missoula, Montana; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lila was predeceased by her parents, brother Hap, daughter Linda and grandson Shawn.
The Funeral Service was held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, September 6, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead of the United Church Of Canada officiating. Burial to take place in the Dillon Cemetery.
