Yo was born on March 6, 1924 in Clayburn, British Columbia. She matriculated from grade twelve before being evacuated to Southern Alberta in 1942. On January 31, 1948 she married George Ikebuchi and they moved to Barnwell in 1950 where they operated Barnwell Chinook Service with her brother Jiro. George and Yo moved to Taber in 1957 where they continued to run Chinook Service Taber Ltd. with Jiro until 1984. While raising their two sons Ted and Ken, she worked as a book keeper for the family business. George and Yo were very active and devoted members of Knox United Church. In leisure times they enjoyed many trips to Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and annual trips to Las Vegas. She enjoyed golf and curling and made many lifelong friends along the way. Family get togethers were very important to her. Yo was always the BIG sister and a most precious caring Grandma to Tyler.
The family respectfully decline Koden and flowers.
