Ed Sanderson

1937 - 2017

Albert Edwin Sanderson, beloved husband of Jackie Sanderson, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 80 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. (Ed’s wishes were to please dress casual).

 A private burial service was held at Taber Memorial Garden on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. 

 Besides his loving wife Jackie, Ed is survived by his son Terry (Loretta) Sanderson of Spirit River, daughter-in-law Donna Sanderson of Lethbridge; grandchildren Corey (Falen), Elissa (Jeremy), Jason (Denise) and Brandi (Matt); great granddaughters Sadiey, Aubriee, Zoe and Ryann. He is also survived by his sisters Juanita Ell and Barb Turin; in-laws Joyce (Ernie) Karl, Dave (Cheryl) Garner and Vince Leismeister and their families.

 He was predeceased by his son Bill Sanderson, parents Albert and Esther Sanderson, brother Ron Sanderson and sister Ramona Leismeister, brothers-in-law Alvin Ell and Dennis Turin.

 Ed was born in Taber January 30, 1937. His labor of love was to his wife Jackie, son Terry (Loretta) and his grandchildren, as well as his acreage which he loved working on and was always fixing things. He worked for Farm Electric, Calgary Power and TransAlta Utilities for thirty eight years. Ed was involved with the Taber Municipal District Subdivision Development Appeal Board for many years, which he enjoyed immensely. He enjoyed golf carting around visiting with his neighbors from time to time, in which they all have became part of the family.
