Deanna Eldridge

1948 - 2019

Deanna May Eldridge (nee Anderson), beloved wife of the late Laurence Eldridge of Taber passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 70 years. 

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, March 1, 2019 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, March 2, 2019 between 10:00 A.M. and 10:40 A.M.

 The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

 Deanna is survived by her children Becky Eldridge of Medicine Hat, Pam (Jason) Matthews of Taber, Dana (Mark) Evans of Medicine Hat and Shauna Eldridge of Medicine Hat; grandchildren Skylar (Tehani), Keaton, Tyson (Jamie-Lee), Daxon, Carter, Colwyn, Gryffin, Keona, Kathryn, Athena and Alexzander;  great grandchildren Payton, Kaisley and Ashlynn. She is also survived by her sisters Janis Clark and Veneta (Doug) Cooper; sister-in-law Brenda Anderson; Laurence’s family Henry Eldridge, Eva (Grant) Fraser, Frank (Janyce) Eldridge and Phyllis Eldridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

 She was predeceased by her husband Laurence Eldridge; parents Dean and Maydell Anderson; in-laws Jim and Evelyn Eldridge; brother Reg Anderson; sister Jolayne Anderson; brother-in-law Fred Clark; sister-in-law Fae Pemberton.

 Deanna was born March 22, 1948 in Taber where she was raised, the oldest child of Dean and Maydell Anderson. She grew up working with her family on their farm and attended school in Taber.  She met and then married Laurence Eldridge in May 1967 and they were blessed with four daughters. Deanna focused on raising their four young daughters and then when they were all in school she pursued her Nursing Diploma. She started her nursing career at the Taber Hospital in 1982 and then transferred to Lethbridge where she was a member of the Seniors Health team. Deanna loved her career in nursing and was an example of dedication. 

 She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fulfilling many callings over the years and loved serving others.  

 Deanna loved family. She loved having her kids, grandkids and great grandchildren come home and spend time together. She was blessed to have kept strong relationships with her extended family and often shared memories of spending time with cousins.
