Bonna LaBrecque

1956 - 2022

 Bonna Jacqueline LaBrecque, beloved mother and grandmother passed away in Red Deer, on Friday March 11, 2022 at the age of 65 years.

 The Funeral Service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5205 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. A private burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

 Bonna is survived by her three children Corey (Chad) Hoskins of Taber, Tricia (Jon) Messervey of Taber and Dakota Knight of Sylvan lake; grandchildren Kasidee, Gavin, Kaelei, Makenzee, Jett, Jaxson and Marissa. Besides her loving children and grandchildren, Bonna is survived by her mother Frieda Allan; siblings Garry (Danielle) Schmidt, Brad (Fleurette) Schmidt, Karen (Zoni) Kover, Jim (Johanna) Schmidt Brenda (Jack) Jensen; along with the precious puppy Paisly.

 She was predeceased by her daughter Marissa Christensen, father Jack Schmidt and stepfather William Allan.

 Bonna was born October 12, 1956 in Taber to Jack and Freida Schmidt. Whether on her horse, around a fire or at home, she was always surrounded by family and friends. She made friends wherever she went on her many travels. Always open to a glass of wine or a cold beer she was ready to make memories and stories we will continue to share. A woman who battled cancer and came out on top, she will be remembered as a model of perseverance and never giving up. Bonna will be remembered and forever loved by friends and family alike.

 The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
