CORA VAREKAMP

1954 - 2001

Cora Varekamp, beloved wife of Teunis (Tony) Varekamp, passed away peacefully in Bow Island on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the age of 47 years.
Cora is the beautiful mother of Rene, Anita (Wayne), Carlene and Simone. She is also survived by her three older sisters Ely (Joop) Vreugdenhil, Coby Barendregt (Karel Tjeng-A-Fa) and Nel (Cor) Van Schie; her three brothers Jaap (Connie) Barendregt, Frans Barendregt and Klaas Barendregt.
Cora was born January 20, 1954 in Maasland, The Netherlands to the late Adam and Elisabeth Barendregt. On March 27, 1975 she married Teunis (Tony) Varekamp and immigrated to Canada that year in June.
Cora was a devoted wife, mother and sister. Cora enjoyed life at home out on the farm and took pride in her house and office. She will always be remembered by her love for her family.
The Funeral Service was held at the Burdett Christian Reformed Church (South of Burdett) on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Cameron Fraser officiating. A private family burial took place prior to the funeral service.
