ANNE MILLER

1907 - 2000

Anne Elizabeth Miller (nee Harris) peacefully passed away at the Foothills Auxiliary Hospital in Calgary on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at the age of 92 years.
Anne was born in Raymond, Alberta on July 25, 1907. As a member of an early pioneer family, she moved to Taber in 1916. Anne married Douglas Miller (who predeceased her in July of 1982). They worked together in the Movie Theatre Business as well as church and public service for over 55 years.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Donald Steele) of Calgary; her sons Leo (Betty Jean) of Utah, Colin (Nancy) of Utah, Donald (Janet) of Haiti, and Ian (Elizabeth) of Calgary; a daughter-in-law Avey (J. Weight) of Utah, (a son Robert predeceased); a sister-in-law Yvonne Harris, as well as cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne will be cherished by her 31 grandchildren and fifty one great grandchildren who fondly called her “Nana” and were the joy of her life. She was dedicated to Christ-like service and was a talented, kind, gentle and gracious woman who sacrificed her time and energy for others. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
Appreciation is extended to the staff at the Calgary Foothills Auxiliary Hospital Unit thirty seven for their tender loving care.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family prior to the funeral service in the Relief Society Room of the church on Saturday, June 3, 2000 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5314 - 54 Street, Taber on Saturday, June 3, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. with President Rod Gough conducting. Burial followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
