KOJI NAKAMURA

1910 - 2000

Koji Nakamura of Taber, passed away in Taber on Thursday, November 9, 2000 at the age of 91 years.
Koji was born at Port Moody, British Columbia on April 30, 1910. He moved to Japan and then returned to Canada in 1934 settling in Surrey, British Columbia. He farmed there until 1942 when he moved with the Nakamura family to Southern Alberta settling in the Taber area. Koji farmed with Nakamura Farms for many years and since 1979 he has resided at Clearview Lodge.
Koji will be remembered by his relatives, Kay Shimbashi of Calgary, Norman (Amy) Nakamura of Taber, Charles (Betty) Nakamura of Calgary and Shirley (Sumio) Setoguchi of Lethbridge and their families.
The Funeral Service was held at the Taber Buddhist Church on Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at 4:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Hyashi officiating. Burial took place in the Taber Memorial Garden on Wednesday, December 6, 2000.
