MAXINE NELSON

1930 - 2013

Dorothy Maxine Nelson, beloved wife of the late Rex Nelson, passed away peacefully in Taber on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society room at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, February 16, 2013 between 10:00 A.M. and 10:40 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 322 - 2 Street North, Vauxhall on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Blaine Burbank conducting. Burial followed at the Hays Cemetery.
Maxine was born in Cardston on July 12, 1930 to Harold and Dorothy Ockey.
Maxine will be missed by her children Roy (Linda) Stevens of Taber, Stan (Edith) Stevens of Hays, Carol Stevens of Hays and Tom (Rosanna) Stevens of Medicine Hat; grandchildren Tara (Mike) Hricise, Rebecca (Shad) Hutchison, Crystal (Aaron) Young, Clayton (Angela) Stevens, Chad (Carey Ann) Fletcher and sixteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara (Hedley), Hallie (Rick); brothers Tom (Waveney), Bruce (Gloria) and Bryce (Margaret) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by first husband Ron Stevens, second husband Rex Nelson, infant daughters Jeani and Jani, parents Harold and Dorothy Ockey, brother Kent Ockey and daughter-in-law Becky Stevens.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
