Mike VanderWal

1947 - 2017

On a cold grey April morning, our beloved Papa left us. Mindert VanderWal passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, eight days short of his 70th birthday.

 Mike is survived by his wife Wendy, son David (Sandie) VanderWal of Lethbridge, daughter Kristie (Scott) Bull of Taber and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Alexa. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Leni) VanderWal of Taber; sisters Grace Navratil of Magrath and Helen (Richard) Peters of Taber; father-in-law Claude Leeks of Taber; sisters-in-law Sandra (Robert) Bielisch of Calgary, Lillian VanderWal of Taber and Agnes VanderWal of Lethbridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 Mike was predeceased by his parents Kornelis and Joukje VanderWal; siblings John, Hutch, Martin, Clarence and Frances, brother-in-law Frank Navratil.

 Mike will be privately remembered by his family and friends.
