Throughout his life Jay enjoyed activities such as basketball, curling, going for drives to see the crops, visiting, having coffee with friends and spending time with family. His seven grandchildren where his absolute pride and joy.

Jay loved farming, as it was not only a way he made his living but a true passion. Raising cattle was the most rewarding and enjoyable part of his farming life. Second to that was seeding the crops, watching them come up and harvesting them later in the season.
