1945 - 2018

Ida Cline, beloved wife of Rod Cline, passed away in Taber on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the age of 73 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 7, 2018 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

 The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. A private burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

 Besides Rod her loving husband of fifty four years, Ida is survived by her children Lonnie (Scott) Christensen of Hillcrest and their children Jodi (Cody) Rowley (their son Wyatt) and Kori (Bryce) Duff (their son Luke); Tammy (Russ) Domolewski of Pincher Creek and their children Steve (Marina) Domolewski (their son Jack) and Matt (Tamra) Domolewski; Jackie (Brian) Kleiner of Barnwell and their children Brooke (Dylan) Davies and Tim (Ayden) Kleiner; Stephen (Jessica) Cline of Taber. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Hazel Langkopf, Margaret Langkopf and Darleen (Al) Hamper; brother-in-law Al Davidson (Sharon Howells) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 She was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Adoline Langkopf; sister Wilma Husch; brothers Raymond Langkopf and Reinhold Langkopf; nine siblings in Europe; father and mother-in-law George and Florence Cline; sister-in-law Dorothy Davidson; brother-in-law Richard Husch; nephew Daniel Husch; great nephew Shaun Davidson.

 Ida was born in Wiecheln, Germany on June 21, 1945 to Daniel and Adoline Langkopf. In 1954 at the age of nine, she immigrated to Canada with her family. They resided in Turin where they worked in the sugar beet fields. In 1957 they moved to Johnson’s Addition “Dog town”, working for Harris Farms. In 1964 she met the love of her life, Rod Cline in the Rex Cafe where she worked. They were married November 7, 1964 and resided in the M.D. of Taber until the time of her passing. Ida enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, baking, garage sales and bottle feeding baby calves. Most of all, Ida loved spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.
