1938 - 2019

Kathleen Aldeen Osburne, beloved wife of the late Dale Osburne, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the age of 81 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, April 25, 2019 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Kay is survived by her children Wanda (Ed) Campbell of Taber, Sandy Osburne of Stettler, Barry (Shelly) Osburne of Airdrie and Bonnie (Bruce) Koop of Airdrie. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Wanda’s family Paige Osburne and Dylan Braun (their daughter Beretta), Brock Campbell and Brody (Jolene) Campbell (their children Owen and Leo); Sandy’s family Crystal (Murray) Sharpe (their children Selena, Seth, Diesel and Brielyn), Ryan (Stephanie) Derr (their children Bretton and Quinton) and Kelsey (Steven) Strandquist (and their children Yelena, Dominic and Troy); Barry’s family Cody (Christine) Hansen (their children Cole and Cohen), Justin (Nicole) Osburne (their son Bradley) and Derek Osburne (his children Jackson and Landon); Bonnie’s family Carlene Koop (her children Ellie and Aigal), Leah (Richard) Reid (their son Hudson) and Travis Koop.

She was predeceased by her husband Dale Osburne.

Kay was born in Cranbrook, British Columbia on April 11, 1938. She married Dale Osburne in Medicine Hat on December 27, 1959. They lived in several communities during Dale’s career with the CIBC before settling in Taber in 1988. Kay worked in health care, operated a day home and ran a catering business at the Taber Agriplex. She loved to swim. She was involved with the Royal Purple and the Lioness club for many years.
