Anne Kolaric

1944 - 2019

With her family by her side, Anna “Anne” Kolaric was received by the angels and lovingly passed into the arms of her Lord on Friday, December 13th, 2019 at the age of 75 years. She left this world after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer. She will always be remembered for her generous and compassionate heart and undying love for her family.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:30 A.M.

Anne is survived by her husband Mijo “Mike” Kolaric and two children, Lisa (Barrie) Ensign and John Kolaric all of Lethbridge; her grandchildren Megan (Brad) Tomlinson, Taylor Ensign and Charlize Kolaric and her great grandchild Rylie. She is also survived by her brothers Mike (Mary) Gockij and Frank Gockij; sister Stephanie Taillefer and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Irene and Theodore Gockij.

Anne was born February 17, 1944 and resided in Taber most of her life, after immigrating to Canada from the Ukraine with her family. She moved to Lethbridge in her later years to be closer to be her children and grandchildren. Anne had a knack for everything creative; her sewing was impeccable and cooking was next to none. She was an avid gardener and would always have the most beautiful and delicious gardens. Anne always put everyone before herself. Her generous, kind heart was one of her many admirable qualities. She always had open arms and a beautiful warm smile that would make everyone feel at home. She was and always will be the centerpiece of our family that would bring everyone together. Our world will no longer be the same, but we have comfort in knowing we have a guardian angel with us always.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Anne’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 2P5 www.cancer.ca.

Anne’s family would like to take the time to thank the wonderful staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Unit 3B, for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
