1959 - 1998

Christopher John Danby, beloved husband of Rae Danby of Taber, passed away in Calgary on August 2, 1998 at the age of 39 years.
Chris was born on July 6, 1959 in Hamilton, Ontario, the son of Christopher Danby & Lynn Anne Charters. He received his schooling in Burlington, Ontario. In 1979 he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He devoted his life to the church serving as Stake Missionary Leader, Ward Missionary Leader, Elders Quorum President, and was an active Missionary and taught classes within the church. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed reading many books on different subjects but was most interested in reading about World War II. Chris enjoyed playing guitar, Keyboard and writing songs and had a large collection of records. He also had a soft spot for cats, as he had many for pets. Those who knew Chris, will remember him as a quiet, but friendly gentleman. As a devoted husband and father, he will be sadly missed by his family.
Besides his loving wife Rae, he is survived by his daughter Samantha and her special friend Riyaz Govani both of Hamilton; and two sisters, Lynn Anne Scott and Catherine Demaine.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother David Danby.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 6, 1998 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Larry Taylor conducting. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
