TOM KVALE

1930 - 1998

Thomas Kvale of Vauxhall, passed away on Monday, December 28, 1998 at the age of 68 years.
Tom was born on June 27, 1930 at Manyberries, the son of Thorne and Jean Kvale. He received his schooling in Manyberries and on November 9, 1952 he married Grace Baldry. In 1960 they moved to Retlaw and to Vauxhall in 1968. Tom worked as an elevator manager for numerous years, beginning his career in 1958 and retiring in 1991. In his younger years he enjoyed spending holiday time, fishing and curling.
Tom is survived by his daughter Judy (Cliff) Elgie of Redcliff; son Lorne Kvale of Red Deer; six grandchildren Brian (Sherry), Rhonda (Jason), Robin (Kara), Julie (Ron), Amy and Carmen; three great grandchildren Cody, Kianna and RaeAnn; sister Laura (Marv) Scheelar of Kelowna; brother Edwin (Lois) Kvale of Manyberries; brother-in-law Lee (Beth) Baldry of Eckville and sister-in-law Rachael (Albert) Ottley of Penhold.
He was predeceased by his wife Grace in 1996 and also by his parents.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Thursday, December 31, 1998 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
