NICK LETH

1904 - 1999

Reinhold Leth of Taber, beloved husband of the late Jean Leth, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 1999 at the age of 95 years.
Nick was born at Aarhus, Denmark on February 19, 1904. He arrived in Quebec on July 24, 1924 after working his way as a millwright on a ship. In 1925 he continued to work his way west, arriving in Taber in July of 1927. He married Jean Mary Reed in 1938. Nick was well known in the agricultural community and was a pioneer in the turkey industry.
He leaves to carry on his memory two children and their families, a son Arnold (Barbara) Leth of Taber and their children Cameron (Lorie) Leth, Duane (Coralee) Leth and Darby (Bruce) Bell; a daughter Sandra (Abby) Badwi of Calgary and their daughters Cherine and Kari Badwi; six great grandchildren Dalanee, Braiden, Rylee, Cavin, Kyler and Chase and also by family in Denmark.
Nick was predeceased by his wife Jean on Sepember 2, 1990.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
