JOHN PERL

1936 - 2003

John Donald Perl of Taber, passed away at Lethbridge on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the age of 67 years.
John was born at Taber on September 25, 1936, the son of John and Rozina Perl. He received his schooling at Taber and later worked for many years at Lucerne Foods, retiring in 1991. For the past few years, John was a resident of Clearview Lodge. It was here he enjoyed being Mr. Fix-it and assisted many of the residents. John became a great asset to many of them and will be missed at the Lodge.
He is survived by his brother and sisters Mike (Florence) Perl of Calgary, Mary Sekura of Taber, Kathy (Stan) Machacek of Lethbridge and Marcella Ovenden of Courtenay, B.C.; a sister-in-law Anne Perl of Taber and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents John and Rozina, step father Jerome Willemarck, brother Tony Perl, brothers-in-law Joe Sekura and Walter Ovenden and sister-in-law Dorothy Perl.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 30, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. with Father Mariusz Sztuk SDS celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
