1915 - 1999

Mildred Erickson of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Taber on Wednesday, April 7, 1999 at the age of 83 years.
Millie was born in Lethbridge on November 2, 1915 the daughter of Nicholas and Jenny Fazio. She married Albert Erickson on March 3, 1935. Since her husband worked for the CPR, the family lived in Cardston, Carmangay, Sentinel, Grassy Lake and Coutts before retiring to Coaldale. Residing in these various areas, Millie was very family orientated and a devoted wife and mother of her family of seven daughters and one son. Most recently she resided in Taber at the Continuing Care Facility. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her children Audrey (Ross) Walker of Toronto, Arlene (Arthur) Ell of Grassy Lake, Herb (Audrey) Erickson of Lacombe, Shirley Bassett of Lethbridge, Marg (Casey) Rinkel of Priddis, Nora (Ken) Revak of Taber, Lynda (Allen) Herbst of Taber and Donna (Ray) Block of Lethbridge; twenty five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Alfred (Irene) Fazio of Lethbridge, a sister Clara (Clarence) Chenery of Drayton Valley and a sister-in-law Vera Fazio of Lethbridge.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1982; a grandson Gerry Ell in 1994; two brothers, Mike and Arthur Fazio and three sisters Edith, Violet and Kay.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 9, 1999 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, April 10, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. A private family interment was held at Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Mildred’s name may be made to the Taber Palliative Care Unit or to the the Continuing Care Facility in care of the Taber Hospital Foundation 4326 - 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9.
