CYRIL POWER

1929 - 2002

Cyril E. Power, beloved husband of June Power of Taber,passed away on Friday, January 25, 2002 at the age of 72 years.
Cyril was born at Millet, Alberta on March 5, 1929 where he received his schooling. He married June Boughton on December 25, 1951 and they resided in the Wetaskiwin area until moving to Taber in 1967. Cyril worked in the Oil Patch, retiring in 1990 and since 1997 has been a resident at the Taber Continuing Care.
Besides his loving wife June he is survived by his four children Chris; Beverly (Randy) Fehr; Debbie (Blaine Metcalf) and her daughter Richelle all of Taber and Robin Power of Sylvan Lake and his children Jason, Candice and Tamra; sisters Lorraine (Lyle) Glinze of Edmonton, Phyllis Power of Wetaskiwin, Theresa (Mac) Warner of Kamloops and Dora (Mac) Shantz of Wetaskiwin and also by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Lavina and four brothers Dudley, Daniel, Alfred and Reg.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant.
