JASON LANG

1982 - 1999

Jason Lang, beloved son of Reverend Dale and Diane Lang of Taber, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at the age of 17 years.
Jason was born on February 27, 1982 in Calgary. He attended kindergarten in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. They moved to Taber where he attended Westlake Elementary School from grades one to five, D.A. Ferguson School from grades six to eight and was presently a student at W.R. Myers High School. This past summer Jason was a team member of a church youth mission trip to Mexico and was powerfully used by God. Jason was a sports enthusiast participating in hockey, soccer and golf. He was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and when playing hockey he used his dad’s hockey equipment and loved to play goal. Jason had a curious nature as a young person and enjoyed working with his hands, taking things apart and putting them back together. As part of his high school courses, he enjoyed spending time as a teachers aid at Central School. He possessed a special bond with little kids and children and was well liked by them. Jason was a polite young man who was always considerate of others, smiling, happy and joyous. At the time of his passing he was employed at the Mohawk service station, a place he enjoyed working to earn money to buy his dream car.
Besides his beloved parents Dale and Diane, Jason will be forever missed by his brothers Jeff (Angela) and their daughter Jessicca of Calgary, Mark of Calgary, Matthew at home and his sister Jennifer at home; his grandparents Fred and Connie Lang and Marjorie McMurray all of Calgary; his uncles and aunts Glenn (Sue) McMurray and family of Calgary, Brenda Bray and family of Calgary, Sharon (Steve) Durant and family of Vernon, British Columbia, Jim McMurray of Calgary, David (Melanie) McMurray and family of Lethbridge and also his Godparents Paul and Marg Viergutz of Calgary.
