ADAM DEGENSTEIN

1923 - 2002

Adam Francis Degenstein of Foremost, passed away peacefully in his home on the farm, on Friday, March 22, 2002 at the age of 78 years.
Adam was born on the family farm near Foremost on April 22, 1923, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Degenstein. Being born and raised on the farm, he quickly became familiar with the daily duties and chores that are involved. It was evident from a young age that Adam would carry on with the family farm which he was so proud of. He will be remembered by his friends and neighbors as a caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Adam is survived by his sisters, Katherine Casper of Grande Prairie, Barbara Gaehring of Milk River and Mary Degenstein of Foremost; a brother Frank (Marie) Degenstein of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Adam was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Elizabeth Degenstein and brothers, Stanley, Peter and Joseph Degenstein.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Thomas Vadassery officiating.
Interment followed in the Bow Island Cemetery.
