MAURICE MARSH

1933 - 2002

Maurice Clifford Marsh of Taber, beloved husband of the late Fay Marsh, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2002 at the age of 69 years.
Maurice was born at Whitewood, Saskatchewan on April 28, 1933. He received his schooling at Whitewood and in June 1955 Maurice joined the R.C.M.P. He married his high school sweetheart Beverly Fay Cousins on August 1, 1958 at Brooks. Maurice was stationed with the R.C.M.P. at Calgary, Brooks, Red Deer, Innisfail, Coronation and Taber and helped iniatate Home Alert before retiring in June 1980. He was on the Task Force that rewrote Bill 29 for the Mental Health Act in the late 80’s. Maurice was active in the community, involved with minor hockey and minor baseball and also served as President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 20.
He is survived by his children Tracy and her friend Kelly of Calgary; Darren (Valerie) and granddaughters Jessica and Ashley of Lethbridge; Shelley (Wesley) Bosse and grandchildren Wyatt, Dylan and Morgan of Sylvan Lake.
Maurice was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Clifford Marsh and in June 2000 by his wife Fay.
Maurice will be privately remembered by his family and friends.
