1931 - 2000

Donald Earl Callaway of Taber, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2000 at the age of 68 years.
Don was born at Barnwell on December 12, 1931, the son of Thomas and Helen Callaway. He received his schooling at Barnwell. Don farmed in the Barnwell and Taber areas, retiring in 1979 and moving into the Town of Taber. He enjoyed hockey and curling, especially the bonspieling. Don loved and lived life to the fullest; his friends were everything to him.
Don will be sadly missed by his children Lynda (Malcolm) McCance of Dewinton and Devan Callaway of Taber and by the mother of his children, Sybil; grandchildren Matthew, Charlotte, Alicia, Mark and Shantell and by sister Dorothy (Floyd) Pickett of Taber.
He was predeceased by a daughter Terry in 1983.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 from 8:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. and also at the church prior to the funeral service on Thursday, January 6, 2000 from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, January 6, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Larry Taylor conducting. Interment was held at the Taber Memorial Garden.
