LEONARD PERRA

1956 - 2001

On July 17, 2001 Leonard Perra left us to join his family who had predeceased him. His big heart and gentle nature will be sorely missed by the remaining family and many, many friends. No matter where he was, or what he was doing, Leonard always made time to visit with everyone and anyone.
Born and raised in the Community of Foremost and Warner, Alberta, Leonard decided to stay with the people who treated him so well during his adult years. He was a long time employee of the County of Forty Mile and it is with great regret and boundless respect he will miss his fellow employees, who were more friends, who were always there for him.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Hugh and Alexandra Perra.
Leonard was predeceased by his father Frank Perra (1993); his beloved mother Phyllis Perra (1997); younger brother Ward Perra (1997) and aunt Mamie Douglas (1998). He is now at peace and with those who he missed so much.
The surviving family members who will miss him everyday hereafter; uncle’s and aunt’s Clarence and Phyllis Janke and Clarence and Linda Douglas; great aunt Mable Hughs; cousins Kevin (Linda) Douglas and their children Darcy, Megan, Carlie and Colton; Kirk (Joan) Douglas and children Shilo and Kesler; Darren (Taren) Douglas and daughters Rachelle and Danielle; Scott (Stacey) Douglas and children Jessica and Simon; his very special cousin Vi Mueller; longtime family friend Laura Trent and cousin Grant Iredale.
Leaving behind numerous friends, it is with great regret that we are unable to list each and everyone. Leonard has always included numerous people who had made an impact on his life. A very special mention must be made to all the people at Plainview Colony who have always made a sanctuary at their homes for Leonard, you all were his extended family and friends.
There was a gathering, Open House, in memory of Leonard at the Foremost Community Hall on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
