MAXINE JENSEN

1941 - 2000

Surrounded by her family, Maxine Maud Jensen, beloved wife of Arden Jensen, passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday, June 22, 2000 at the age of 59 years.
Maxine was born at Taber on April 15, 1941 the daughter of Jay P. and Edna Ayers. She married Arden Jensen and resided on the family farm in the Barnwell area, raising their children. Maxine was a member of the Taber Art Club and enjoyed her hobbies which included making crafts. For a number of years she worked at Fashion Flowers. Maxine’s family was very important to her and liked to spend time with them going camping and enjoying the outdoors.
Besides her husband Arden, she will be forever remembered by her children and their families, a son, Kevin (Dixie) Jensen of Taber and their son Mike (Rae-Lyn) and their son Justin; a daughter Linda (Jesse) McCollister of Hillspring and their children Travis (Rae), Jared, Leah and Ashley; and a daughter Kelly (Scott) Young of Hillspring and their children Randee, Kimberly, Barton, Tess and Tate; a brother Harold Ayers of Taber and sisters, Bev (Lea) MacDonald of Taber, Carol Anderson of Lethbridge and Barb (Joe) Hajek of Taber as well her faithful companion pet dog Mindy.
Maxine was predeceased by a grandson Jeffrey Haley and her parents Jay P. and Edna Ayers.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, June 25, 2000 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell Chapel on Monday, June 26, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Marty Jensen conducting. Burial followed at the Barnwell Cemetery.
