ZETTA DAISLEY

1917 - 2000

Zetta Lillian Daisley, born June 11, 1917 at Imperial, Saskatchewan, passed away in Taber on July 30, 2000.
She has gone home to the Lord to be held in the loving arms of her husband, the late Reverend John Charles (Chuck) Daisley, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She will be sadly missed by her children Janice (Ingrid), David (Arlene) and Barry (Bonnie); her grandchildren Julie (Darren) and Robert (Jenny) and great grandson Jason. Zetta is also survived by a brother Arnold Cornish; sisters Alma Nayler, Aleta Bick and Vivian Clayton; sister-in-law Mary Cornish and numerous nieces and nephews.
As well as her loving husband she was predeceased by an infant brother Floyd, brother Gordon and sister Eleanor.
Zetta celebrated life through her creative talents, including oil and watercolor painting, china painting, wheat weaving, cake decorating and calligraphy, much to the joy of the recipients of her work. She enjoyed travelling throughout North America and Europe with Chuck and their friends. Above all, her greatest joy was her beautiful flower garden. She was active her whole life in the Anglican Church. She was a member of St. Theodore’s A.C.W., was actively involved in the Taber Arts and Crafts Society, and volunteered extensively at the Taber Public Library. Her wonderful musical talents were expressed, in part, through the Taber Hand Bells, and as organist in various churches around the world. She instilled in all the importance of family unity and God’s love through her living example.
Relatives and friends were invited to a Prayer Service at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 3, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Dale Lang and Reverend Hugh Christmas officiating. Burial followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
