NORMAN HOLTHE

1919 - 2000

Norman Holthe passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 7, 2000 at the Taber Hospital at the age of 81 years.
Norman was born the son of John and Hilder Holthe at Burdett, Alberta on March 18, 1919. The family moved to Turin where he received his schooling and developed his fondness for agriculture.
Norman met and married Ruth on March 20, 1942. They settled on the farm northeast of Taber where he farmed and nurtured his love of horses until he retired to Taber in 1994.
He will be forever remembered by Ruth and their children; Connie (Dan) Kilborn and daughter Kelsey; LeRoy (Val) Holthe and children Tanner and Lindy; Brian (Michelle) Holthe and children Brett, Mark, Ty and Chase; and Ron (Sheryl) Holthe. He is also survived by two sisters Eileen (Emile) Rabb and Lilian (Bill) Mehlan; two brothers Art and Leo Holthe and special friend Barb Turin.
He was predeceased by a sister Joanne (Hilder) Scott and brothers Hans and Clarence Holthe.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue Taber on Monday, September 11, 2000 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, September 11 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Wes Midgett and Pastor Gary Noble officiating. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
