He is also survived by his mother Patricia Waddle; brothers Lyle Waddle (his son Shawn), Lane Waddle and Keith Waddle; in-laws Robert and Arlene Smith and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Harlan Waddle.

Dean was born in Taber on April 18, 1954. He married the love of his life, Connie Smith on August 24, 1974. Together they lived in Scandia where they raised their family. He loved to travel and go on adventures. He especially loved to scuba dive, sail and enjoyed being outdoors. Dean loved spending time with his friends and family telling stories and having a drink of tequila. When Dean worked, he worked hard and when he played, he played hard. He lived life to the fullest. Although we will miss him dearly he will no longer suffer from chemo cold and he can finally have a good steak and a drink. We want to raise a glass and toast your amazing life.

"Love you darling, Adios, til we meet again."

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Dean’s name may be made directly to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, Jack Ady Cancer Centre, 960 - 19 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 1W5.
