Rod Wilson

1966 - 2018

Rodney William Wilson, passed away peacefully in Taber on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the age of 52 years. 

 The committal service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden, one kilometer north of 64 Avenue on 50 Street, Taber on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. 

 A reception will was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 54th Street Chapel, 5314 - 54 Street, Taber at 12:00 P.M. with a service in celebration of Rod’s life at 1:00 P.M. 

 Rod is survived by his sons Tyler (Megan) Wilson of Lethbridge and Tanner Wilson of Taber; Rod’s best friend Bobbi Wilson; siblings Donald Wilson and his children Hunter and JD; Robert (Debbie) Wilson and their children Paisley, Rhett and Laura; Keith Wilson and his children Keira and Jase; Heather Poirier (Kevin Uhl) and their children Shayden, Koalby, Amber and Shayla. 

 He was predeceased by his father Wayne Wilson, grandparents and many other cherished friends and family members. 

 Rod was born and raised in Taber and was actively involved in the sports community as an athlete and also a proud supporter of his boys, nieces and nephews activities. He was a loving and compassionate man full of charming wit. Rod always tried to brighten the lives of those he interacted with and help in any way he could. When you think of Rod, instead of tears remember a time he made you smile. Rod will be greatly missed by all those who came in contact with him.
