1946 - 2023

Allan Garry Scott, beloved huband of the late Marjorie Scott, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 76 years.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

Allan is survived by his sons William (Hayley) Scott of Coaldale and Kenneth (Erin) Scott of High River; grandchildren Leesha, Andrew, Dannielle (Nolan), Kyle (Kaitlyn) and Tilly (Mason); great grandchildren Isabella, Bethany and Kayce.

He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Scott (nee Brewin), by their son Keith Scott and by numerous members of his extended family.

Allan was born in Calgary on August 6, 1946. He married Marjorie on February 4, 1967. Together they shared forty six years of wedded bliss that included several moves throughout southern Alberta including Rolling Hills, Skiff before finally settling south of Purple Springs.

Allan and Marjorie shared their love for horses, cattle, dogs, farming and various other livestock throughout their lives together. They also shared strong personal beliefs, a faith in God and love for the Lord.

Allan’s work history was long and varied including the thirty five satisfying years he spent working for the Municipal District of Taber. He took great pride in his work there and made many friendships along the way.

Allan enjoyed the fact that he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of going skydiving in recent years. He also loved his time volunteering with the Taber Ag Society and the Wildrose Mounted Shooters.

Anyone that had met Allan could speak to his strong willed personality and his caring and generous spirit. He was well liked, respected and cared about by his friends and family. He possessed an extremely strong work ethic that he carried throughout his life. Allan’s legacy will endure as he is lovingly remembered by his friends and family.
