BRUCE JOHNSON

1931 - 2007

Bruce Lavone Johnson, devoted husband of Ruth Ann Johnson of Barnwell, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the age of 76 years.
Bruce was the sweetheart and best friend of Ruth Ann.  They were married for 54 years.  Bruce leaves behind seven children Marquis Johnson of Barnwell, Gregory (Brenda) Johnson of Barnwell, Loren (Cindy) Johnson of Barnwell, Tracy (Shelly) Johnson of Calgary, Trevor (Cherie) Johnson of Taber, Nina (David) Ogles of Springville, Utah, Melvin (Celinda) Johnson of Auburn, Washington and foster son Richard Parnell of Calgary.  He also leaves behind twenty-eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters Pat (Don) Harding of Taber and Catherine (Larry) Henry of Cochrane.  These were the most important people in his life and he was much loved by them.
He was predeceased by his father Marquis Lavone Johnson and his mother Ellen Johnson.
His posterity received constant acts of kindness and their needs were often placed ahead of his own.  He loved to work and was an example of integrity and trust. Bruce was loved by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and prior to the service in the Relief Society Room of the Church from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Eric Jensen conducting.  Burial to follow in the Barnwell Cemetery.
