Edith was born to John and Edith Connor on October 11, 1931. She married Harry Austin Jorgensen on July 24, 1953 and shortly thereafter they began raising their family of five. They took over the family farm in 1963 to 2011 and continued to live on the homestead until 2017. Edith and Austin moved to Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale where she has resided until her passing.

She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Edith enjoyed the fun times with her siblings playing card games or chatting with the women in the kitchen. Her joy was tending and caring for her plants, flowers and yard. Edith’s favorite place on the farm was the sunroom where she would read and drink tea surrounded by her ferns and violets.
