STEVE SOLTESZ

1903 - 1997

Steve Soltesz of Taber, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Soltesz, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 1997 at the age of 94 years.
Steve was born on August 19, 1903 at Jablonov, Czechoslovakia. He married his wife Elizabeth in 1927 and the following year in 1928 came to Canada settling in the Taber area. In 1938 Elizabeth joined him and they farmed east of Taber until 1970 at which time they moved to Taber.
He is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Fekete of Calgary; a son Steve (Maria) Soltesz of Taber; six grandchildren Ron (Dianna) Fekete, Marlene (Ron) Rapson, Bobby (Tracey) Soltesz, Juliana (Dale) Driedger, Michael Soltesz and Mirko (Carrie) Bakaric and also by six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, a son in infancy and a son-in-law John Fekete.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, December 30, 1997 at 7:30 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend David Meadows Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
