GLENN WADDLE

1926 - 1998

Glenn William Waddle passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, May 29, 1998 in the loving presence of his children, at the Mayerthorpe Extendacare in Mayerthorpe at the age of 73 years.
Glenn was the eldest child born to Merrill & Edna Waddle at Hillendale, Saskatchewan on January 11, 1926. He attended school at Lone Star, Retlaw, Vauxhall and Turin. Glenn enlisted in the army from 1942 to 1946. He later met and then married Joan Cooper of Calgary on November 1, 1952 and together they farmed in the Retlaw and Circle Hill area. In 1980, Glenn moved to Mayerthorpe where he bought a ranch and has resided there up until the time of his passing.
Glenn is survived by and will be dearly missed by his father Merrill Waddle of Lethbridge, his daughters Lyndia (Tim) Holt of Calgary and Debra (Marcel) D’Aoust of Taber; a stepson Whitney (Jody) Millar of Mayerthorpe and a stepdaughter Brandy Minor of Ottawa; his grandchildren Angie, Bobby, Lisa, Jennifer, Jesse and Natalie; his great-grandchildren Jordan, Lee and Bailee. He is also survived by his brothers Willie (Evelyn) of Taber and Bobby (Audrey) of Lethbridge; brothers-in-law Doug (Sue) Cooper of Vancouver and Dennis (Marg) Cooper of Surrey, British Columbia; a sister-in-law Lilly (Walter) Gamble of Vancouver.
He was predeceased by his Mother Edna; his wife Joan Waddle; a daughter Merle Gwen Waddle and a stepson Travis Minor and his stepmother Claudia Waddle.
The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 3, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
