Tildie was born in Taber on January 27, 1919 to Pete and Vigdis Valgardson. She was a kind, gentle, warm hearted and generous lady. Tildie always put the needs of the people she loved and cared about first. She enjoyed her career as a nursing aide at the old Taber General Hospital and looked after the patients needs. It has been reported she gave excellent care and the best back rubs. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy as well as their friends. Tildie was easy going and tried not to judge but except people and situations as they were. Her motto in life was never judge a person until you have walked in there shoes. Tildie always said never forget what it is like to be young. In her later years she spent many hours painting and creating works of art on canvas china plates. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Tildie’s name may be made directly to the Taber and District Health Foundation (Continuing Care), 4326 - 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9.
The family would like to thank Dr. Beckie and the staff at the Taber Extendicare for the excellent care given to Tildie over the last few years.
