KENLEY ASPLUND

1935 - 2005

Mr. Kenley Dale Asplund, beloved husband of Mrs. Bev Asplund, of Taber, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the age of 70 years.
Kenley was born February 12, 1935 in Lethbridge and was raised in the Barnwell and Taber Area. He lived in Taber until his passing. The last twenty-five years of his career were spent in agricultural retail working for Agri Fertilizer under president Norman Nakamura, and manager Peter Asplund. The company later became Southern Agri. He then worked under general manager Rob King, and manager Derrick Krizsan. After retiring in 2001, he enjoyed working in his yard and garden. His main interest was helping his boys along their path. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Besides his loving wife Bev, Kenley is survived by his four sons Matt (Nicole) of Edmonton, Paul of Edmonton, Garnet of Taber and Mickey of Taber; his grandchildren Kaitlyn and Jordan Laine and Kyle Asplund; his two sisters Maureen (Lorne) Elgert of Rimbley, Alberta and Sara (Monte) Bachand of Kamloops, British Columbia; one sister-in-law Louann (Garnet) Asplund of Brooks as well as numerous neices and nephews.
Kenley was predeceased by his daughter Rhonda, his parents Reed and Elva, his brother Garnet and by his sister Lois.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5314 - 54 Street, Taber on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Michael Saunders conducting. Interment to follow at Taber Memorial Garden.
