RUTH CAMPBELL

1958 - 2003

Ruth Laverne Campbell of Vauxhall, beloved daughter of Eamon (Mike) and Sharon Campbell, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at the age of 44 years.
Ruth was born on November 16, 1958 at the home of her parents in Midnapore, Alberta. She moved with her family to Vauxhall in July of 1966 where she resided until the time of her passing. In 1977 Ruth graduated from Vauxhall High School. Following her graduation she went to work for Vauxhall Foods Processing where she had been working for the past 25 years. Ruth was a very devoted person who touched the hearts of many people. She had numerous pen pals that she wrote to for many years from all over the world. Ruth was a valuable and loyal member of TOPS AB2924 Vauxhall. She lived life to the fullest. Her family and very wide circle of friends and especially her nephews and nieces meant so much to her. She always cherished the quality time she spent with them all. Ruth had a heart of gold and she is going to be truly missed.
Besides her beloved parents Eamon (Mike) and Sharon Campbell of Vauxhall, Ruth will be forever remembered by a sister Bonnie Manthorne and her children Robert (Angela) and Michael (Sandy) of Calgary and great-nephew Levi; a sister Theresa Bartz and her children Amanda and Christopher of Kelowna, British Columbia; a brother Ed (Wanda) Campbell and their children Brody, Paige and Brock of Taber; one great-aunt Myrtle Shaw of Calgary as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, January 6, 2003 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Mike Whalen officiating. Interment followed in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
