MARY HALL

1918 - 2003

Mary (Easthope) Hall of Taber passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at the age of 85 years.
Mary was born in Medicine Hat on January 1, 1918 and was the second child born to Fred and Sarah Brooks. She was raised in Grassy Lake where she also received her schooling. On December 7, 1936 she married Loren Easthope and resided in Taber where they raised their family of four children. On February 6, 1985 Loren passed away and she later married a longtime friend, Gordon Hall who also passed away on July 12, 1999. Mary had a special love of music which was an important part of her life. Over the years she was a member of different bands and choirs including the Taber Choralaires. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her spare time Mary enjoyed sewing and has made a variety of quilts for her family.
Mary will be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her children, Reg (Luella) Easthope, Sharon (Gary) Jensen, Bryan (Karen) Easthope and Lori (Robin) Leigh; two brothers, Bill Brooks and John (Joan) Brooks; two sisters, Ann McMillan and Joyce (Bill) Thomas; her grandchildren, Trevor (Judy) Easthope, Kyle Jensen, Rob Easthope (Rayna), Kevin (Allison) Easthope, Shari (Darrin) Demale, Brianne Leigh and Eric Leigh; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amber and Alysha Easthope, Kaylee Jensen, Brett Easthope and Kristin and Shae Demale; two step-daughters, Carol Hall and Tracy Hall as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Loren Easthope; second husband, Gordon Hall; sister Nellie Kinniburgh; brother, Sam Brooks; an infant grandson Darren Easthope and her parents Fred and Sarah Brooks.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Chapel (4709 - 50th Ave.) Taber, on Thursday, January 23, 2003 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:40 A.M. The Funeral Service followed at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Ray Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
