SYBIL ANDERSON

1906 - 1998

Sybil Anna Anderson passed away peacefully in Taber on Monday, November 9, 1998 at the age of 92 years.
Sybil was born at Raymond on September 4, 1906 the daughter of John and Sine Anderson. At a young age she moved with her family to Barnwell. Sybil received her schooling at Barnwell and Lethbridge. She continued her education attending Normal School in Calgary and later graduating from BYU in Provo, Utah. She taught in many rural communities in Southern Alberta before finishing her career retiring from Central School in Taber. Sybil was an active member of The CHurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she held many positions.
Sybil leaves behind to carry her memory, her sister Mabel Howells Murphy of Barnwell; a niece Verna Howells of Grande Prairie; a nephew Robert (Sharon) Howells of Coaldale as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters Myrtle and Viola; two brothers Sylvan and Irvin; her parents; a nephew Lynn Howells, a niece Rena Howells and two brothers-in-law Glyn Howells and Bill Murphy.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room at the church prior to the funeral service from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell on Friday, November 13, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Robin Hansen conducting. Interment followed at the Barnwell Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Sybil’s name may be made to the Continuing Care Unit in care of the Taber Hospital Foundation, 4326 - 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9.
