DONALD PORTER

1980 - 2003

Donald Joseph Porter, beloved son of Logan and Jane Porter, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 3, 2003 west of Taber.
Besides his parents, he is survived by six brothers and sisters, Clinton (Vicki) and daughter Avery of Valencia, California, Angela of Calgary, Preston of Barnwell, Benson (Christy) of Provo, Utah, Candice of Barnwell and Nelson of Barnwell. Donald will also lovingly be remembered by grandparents Joseph B. and Katharine Keeler of Magrath, Don Porter of Victoria, British Columbia and Joyce (Delbert) Palmer of Lethbridge and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donald was born in Medicine Hat on November 12, 1980 and moved to Barnwell with his family at the age of two weeks. He grew up and matured in Barnwell and then served a two year mission in Sweden for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At the time of his death, Donald was enrolled at Brigham Young University working towards a degree in Construction Management. Donald’s short life exemplified the teachings of Jesus, never giving or taking offense - being gracious and kind to everyone he met and knew. A constant source of joy to his parents and siblings, “Super D” will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
