MARIE SAJFRT

1910 - 2003

Marie Sajfrt, beloved wife of the late Tony Sajfrt, passed away peacefully in her own home July 24, 2003 at the age of 92 years.
She was born October 28, 1910 to Antonine and Marie Komon in Knezdub, Moravia, Czechoslovakia. In 1939 Marie immigrated to Canada. She married Tony Sajfrt and they farmed in Cranford for thirty three years until 1972 when they retired and moved to Taber. In retirement, Marie was able to fulfill her passion for gardening and growing African violets, but the love of her life was always her family.
Marie will be forever loved by her daughter Jarmila (Reg) Saunders; grandsons Kevin Saunders and Jason (Carla) Saunders and one great granddaughter Renae Elizabeth Saunders all of Taber.
She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Joe and Frank Komon.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at 5:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, July 28 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
