BILL HART

1929 - 2003

William (Bill) Hart of Vauxhall, beloved husband of Mrs. Olive Hart, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at the age of 73 years.
Bill was born in Lethbridge on December 31, 1929 a son to Sylvester and Grace Hart. He received his schooling in Retlaw and Vauxhall. Bill married Olive Hill in 1949. A short time later in 1951, he began working for the P.F.R.A. When the P.F.R.A. left and the B.R.I.D. took over, he worked as a ditchrider until his retirement in 1991. Bill was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion # 193 in Vauxhall for fifty years and a member of the Vauxhall Curling Club for twenty years. Besides being an avid curler, Bill also enjoyed playing crib with his family. Every Saturday he could usually be found playing crib at the Legion with his friends.
Besides his wife Olive, he will be remembered by his children, Sandra (Garfield) Burton of Red Deer, Dennis of Lethbridge, Robert of Calgary, Linda Enns of Lethbridge, David of Rolling Hills, Debbie Dutchak of Medicine Hat and Kathleen (Jack) Culver of Sparwood, British Columbia; two brothers, Ed (Betty) Hart of Lethbridge and Garvin (Erna) Hart of Calgary as well as fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9th Street North, Vauxhall, on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Peter Walker officiating. Interment followed in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
