1960 - 2003

Pamela (Pam) Ann Martinson, beloved wife of James Martinson of Taber, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003, after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 43 years.
Pam was born the first child to Stan and Bea Gardiner on April 13, 1960 in Eston, Saskatchewan. She received her schooling in Rosetown where she graduated from High School. Pam married James Martinson on July 21, 1979. They resided in Rosetown for a number of years before moving to Taber in 1991. While in Taber she was employed at Junior’s Diner and later gained employment at Hostess Frito-Lay. Pam enjoyed spending time with her family and liked to go camping, crafts, playing the piano and singing, curves and gardening.
She will be cherished in the hearts of her family including her husband James and their children, Rory (Angie), Nicole and Daina; grandson, Rylan; her parents Stan and Bea Gardiner of Rosetown; two sisters, Rhonda (Mick) Kennon of Biggar, Saskatchewan and Gina (Rod) Schatz of Maidstone, Saskatchewan; a brother-in-law Bernie (Eleanor) Martinson of Rosetown and nieces and nephews, Ryan (Leslie), Devon, Sheena, Natasha (Mike), Shane, Jenine, Greg, Kevin and Derrick.
Pam was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Karl and Patricia Martinson.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 30, 2003 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
