COBY DONKERBROEK

1940 - 2003

Coby Donkerbroek, beloved wife of Albert Donkerbroek of Taber, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 22, 2003 at the age of 63 years.
Coby was born at Middelstum Gron., The Netherlands on January 8, 1940 and was the youngest child born to Jacob and Pearl Oudman. She came to Canada in 1950 with her parents. She married Albert Donkerbroek on May 15, 1964. Coby was an active member of the Taber Christian Reformed Church and a member of the Christian Women’s Association.
She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Albert and four children Grace Donkerbroek and Frank Donkerbroek of Lethbridge and Glen and Kevin Donkerbroek of Pigeon Lake, Alberta. Coby is also survived by her brothers and sisters John Oudman of Lacombe, Arie (Leny) Oudman of Holland, Hilda Zuidhof of Lacombe, Homer (Betty) Oudman of Taber, Maria Smith of Vancouver Island, Corrie (Stanley) Kimm of Three Forks, Montana, Tina (Tim) Bouwsema of Lethbridge and Pearl (Dick) Alting of Taber and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Jennie Koning, sister-in-law Ann Oudman, and brothers-in-law Bill Zuidhof, Walter Smith and John Koning.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family and pay their respects at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 26, 2003 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, Taber, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Vandyk officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
